In the presence of The Stranger’s unpaid intern and King 5 News, Andrew Hughes submerged himself underwater for 92 minutes (one second for every 2,000 American homes currently “underwater” on their mortgages).
OUR Washington, an organization focused primarily on improving education and housing, hosted our event at one of their private homes. The community energy drew positivity and hope from an otherwise solemn cause.
Later, Andrew was interviewed by KIRO News and tomorrow KOMO News will interview him bright and early.
By the end of the night, we will have contacted well over 40,000 voters since May, many of which are currently struggling with the housing crisis.
